Aldea Coffee Roaster's Club 2021

Roaster's Club

We love that our community has embraced brewing Aldea coffee at home, and wanted to encourage that by creating Roaster's Club. With a membership to our Roaster's Club you get a discount on bags of coffee beans and bulk brewed drinks.

Roasters Club Membership Cost: $50

Here's a breakdown of the membership benefits:

- 20% off all coffee bean purchases

- 20% off of growler & howler fills of cold brew & lemonade

- 20% off of 96oz boxes of brewed coffee.

- Gift set valued at $31 (Bag of coffee, Glass Howler, plus bonus swag + a free drink!)

We did the math... if you buy 5 bags of coffee in the year, the Roaster's Club membership will pay for itself.

Our Locations

We have locations in Muskegon and Grand Haven. Our cafes are located at Northtown 794 on Pine St in Muskegon, and the historic Armory Building in downtown Grand Haven. Our Grand Haven cafe opened in 2015 and our Muskegon cafe opened in 2019.

Our coffee roastery and production space is at 2709 Peck St. in Muskegon Heights, where we have been roasting since 2017. For those of you who know the area well, we are in the former location of Potter’s Lighting. We are excited about the future of this space, and as we continue renovations we intend to add a cafe and coffee training center. We believe this will eventually become a center for great coffee culture and solidify Muskegon as a region at the forefront of the specialty coffee movement along the Lakeshore.

The Northtown 794 Building- the location of Aldea's new downtown Muskegon Cafe. Also in this builing are Rake Beer Project, Polka Dot Paisley Boutique, Capones Speakesy, and 794 Kitchen & Bar.

Aldea's roastery building in Muskegon Heights. This is the roaster room, and some of the team enjoying time together while roasting. The roastery building has a commercial kitchen in which Aldea makes their syrups, cold brew, and baked goods.

Aldea's Grand Haven cafe is located in the historic Armory Building, right downtown Grand Haven. Also located in the Armory building are Grand Armory Brewing, and Dr Rolph's Barbecue.

Who is Aldea?

Aldea began as a non-profit called Aldea Development, based in La Union, Honduras in 2010. We started working in Honduras doing microloans for coffee, corn, and bean farmers. After time spent there with the farmers we determined that the best potential for assisting them was through bringing their coffee to a wider market. The farmers were growing high quality coffee and didn't have the opportunity to sell it into the specialty market. We worked to help facilitate that opportunity for them, and Aldea Coffee was born.

We began selling coffee at the Muskegon Farmers Market in 2011. Since then, we have opened two cafes, began roasting our own coffee, started sourcing coffee from Tanzania, and became a Certified B Corporation (among a thousand other things). We maintain our presence and work in Honduras through our non-profit branch and our team there. We have 5 people on staff in Honduras, and they are continuing to do work there including microloans, infrastructure projects, education projects, health projects, and quality coffee training.

Our mission statement:

TOGETHER,
THROUGH ALL WE CRAFT,
WE EMPHASIZE QUALITY AND VALUE IN EVERY INTERACTION.
WE BELIEVE THE EARTH TO BE AN INSPIRING PLACE,
AND WE EMPOWER EACH OTHER
TO EXPLORE, ENJOY, AND PRESERVE IT.
